Drawing files sent to clients and other interested parties from Choctaw Engineering, Inc. are generally saved in AutoCAD™ DWG or Adobe Acrobat PDF formats. If the file sizes are too large we compress the file into a .zip format. We recommend using a unzip utility such as 7-Zip (free) or WinZip® (no longer free) to decompress the files you may receive.

Email recipients who are receiving AutoCAD™ files (DWG) but do not have access to AutoCAD™ may download a program called AutoDesk Design Review 2010. Autodesk Design Review is a free, integrated, all-digital way to view, print, mark up, and compare versions of 2D and 3D drawings, maps, and models—without the original design-creation software. The download size is quite large (766 MB) and system requirements can be viewed here.

Email recipients who do not wish to download the entire 766 MB AutoDesk Design Review 2010 may download a smaller (157MB) viewer from Autodesk™ called DWG TrueView 2010. It enables view and print capabilities similar to Design Review, but does not include mark up and compare capabilities. System requirements can be viewed here.
